Job Description

Within the Quality Control department which includes testing, repairing, modifying and upgrading professional lighting and lighting control systems, we are looking for a QC Application Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordination, testing and assurance of application-oriented test and calibration activities on professional lighting products
  • Supervising calibration, modification on professional lighting products
  • Development of test routines
  • Setting up and implementing in-house training programs for QC-employees and QC-technicians
  • Technical coordination and ‘connector’ of the QC department with other departments, including sales, R&D, etc.
  • To be a 'technical source of information', to inspire continuous improvement and encourage technical growth
  • Support with projects
  • Keeping abreast of technical developments and progress within the market of professional lighting products

Qualifications

  • At least a 5-year proven track record of relevant fieldwork experience in stage and event technology, in the direction of lighting
  • Understanding of the different types of luminaires and their specific areas of application
  • Familiarity with equipment-specific test and calibration characteristics and their application
  • Proficiency in English, Dutch and/or German is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Description

As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for electronic schematic design, firmware development, and integration. You will also perform on-the-floor testing of new modules into the existing line of products (ONYX platform, branded as Obsidian Control Systems). You will work together with PCB designers, mechanical designers and software development in Europe and China to help improve and extend the platform that light designers use for programming and running light shows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic schematics for new and existing products
  • Develop firmware in C/C++ and assembler for embedded systems
  • Integrate and test new hardware modules within existing product platforms
  • Work with USB, Ethernet, I2C, HDMI, DisplayPort, and future communication protocols
  • Support FPGA and HDL-based design activities where applicable
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, PCB design, mechanical engineering, and software development
  • Troubleshoot and improve designs to meet UL, CE, and EMC compliance requirements
  • Support production and validation of designed modules

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in electronics or firmware development with at least 3 years of experience
  • Proficiency in writing firmware in C/C++ and assembler
  • Strong knowledge of USB and Ethernet protocols
  • Experience with RISC and ARM processors
  • Familiar with FPGAs and HDL
  • Ability to design electronic schematics
  • Fluent in English in speaking and writing
  • Flexible, a good communicator and enjoy teamwork
  • A strong eye for detail and the ability to follow up on the production of the modules you designed

Job Description

As a software engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration and on-the-floor testing of new modules in Obsidian Control Systems’ existing line of lighting control products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software for Windows-based lighting control systems
  • Work with C++, C#.NET, and Delphi in Visual Studio environments
  • Develop and maintain systems using MS SQL Server, XML/XSLT, COM, WCF, and DirectX
  • Contribute to UI, graphics, and real-time performance systems
  • Participate in system integration and on-site testing
  • Collaborate with global R&D teams in an agile development environment
  • Support continuous improvement of software architecture and performance

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in information or computer science
  • Minimum of two years of experience with software engineering (game engine, video broadcasting or digital signage development is a plus)
  • Proficient with modern C++ and/or C#.NET using the Visual Studio toolset. Knowledge of SQL, Delphi, DirectX (12), HLSL shader development are considerable pluses
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage

As a Junior Quality Control & Measurement Technician at ADJ Group Europe, you will support the quality and performance of professional event lighting products by conducting acoustic and light measurements and documenting results according to QC procedures. You will gain hands-on experience with systems such as LabSpion VIS, work closely with Quality Control, Product Management, and R&D teams, and develop your technical skills through structured on-the-job training in a modern working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform noise and acoustic measurements on professional event lighting products in a sound-isolated measurement cabin
  • Carry out light, color and performance measurements using the LabSpion VIS system on site
  • Prepare, set up and assist with measurements according to defined internal QC procedures
  • Document measurement results and support basic evaluation and plausibility checks
  • Work closely with Quality Control, Product Management and R&D teams
  • Receive structured on-the-job training in measurement methods, systems and internal standards

Qualifications

  • Technical education or practical experience in event technology, lighting technology or electronics
