Germany's Next Topmodel 2011, Lanxess Arena
Published on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 11:55 AM
ELATION and Germany´s next topmodels are turning heads!
The unique ELATION moving head EPV762MH LED video screens were in use for the very first time in Germany at a public live-TV mega-event, the finals of Germany’s next top model 2011 by Heidi Klum at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne. Thus, ELATION was able to contribute to the perfect visual presentation of the finals with gorgeous top model finalists, and particularly to the extravagant acts of Lady Gaga, Keri Hilson and Caro Emerald. 15.000 visitors in the Lanxess Arena and several million TV-viewers saw the show.
Light designer Manuel da Costa used the ELATION moving head LED video panels for the show, their first application in Germany. The design for the stage setting for Germany´s next top model was conceived by Florian Wieder, who has also handled the Eurovision Song Contest and other events, for instance The X-Factor and MTV European Music Award. He integrated 24 units of EPV762MHs in his setup. Video operator Stefan Flören was responsible for the programming and operation of the ELATION LED video moving heads, he has been doing TV productions and important events in Germany for years.
Next to “traditional” moving lights, the moving LED video panel by ELATION offers completely new options for stage- and light design and constitutes a new, so far undiscovered and autonomous category of moving pictures in real time and space. The ELATION EPV762MH LED video panel is especially interesting for users on the lookout for innovative technologies. The completely new and unique appliance gives light- and stage designers’ new possibilities for creating scenic effects and designs unknown so far. We are already looking forward to seeing exciting new shows by light- and stage designers.
ELATION Flies On Peter Pan Tour

ELATION Flies On Peter Pan Tour
Los Angeles, CA, USA -- Peter Pan never grew up . . . but his stage lighting has. McCoy-Rigby’s recently-launched national tour of Peter Pan hit the road with an all-new lighting rig, supplied by Pacific Coast Entertainment (Huntington Beach, CA).
Working with the show’s lighting designer Michael Gilliam, PCE put together a complete configuration of automated spot, wash and specialty fixtures that included ELATION PROFESSIONAL’s US version Design Wash 1400E, 1200 W moving head and US version Power Spot 700 CMY-II 700 W DMX moving head spot.
The tour, which will run through 2013, marks a reprisal of the production, starring Tony Award-nominee Cathy Rigby in the title role of this classic tale about a boy who can fly and magically refuses to grow up. Olympic gymnast-turned-actor Rigby, who co-owns the production company with her husband Tom McCoy, has been playing Peter Pan since the early 1990s.
“This show is a juggernaut,” said PCE’s Ryan Steidinger. “It just continues to power on. Cathy continues to fly across the stage. Like Peter Pan himself, the story never gets old and still draws people of all ages.”
But lighting design and technology have changed over the past 20 years, and the set of the iconic show needed an updated look; thus the creation of the new rig. “This is the first time Pan has gone on national tour with this many moving heads,” said Steidinger. “All of the down light on stage is created with moving heads. The makeover has gone over exceptionally well,” he reported. “The producers told me it’s the best lighting they’ve ever had for the show.”
Included are 14 x ELATION US Design Wash 1400E and 16 x US Power Spot 700 CMY II. Six ELATION Opto Branch 4 DMX splitters are also being used, mounted on a rack that sits on top of the dimmer rack.
The ELATION moving heads were chosen because they offered cost-effective solutions for the automated spots and washes, said Steidinger. “With the economy the way it is, the show was on a very tight budget. We worked hard to find fixtures that would provide the most bang for the buck, and Elation delivers tremendous value.”
Reliability was also a huge factor, Steidinger added. The show plans on using the same lighting for the entire tour, which will run nearly two years. “The stuff has to be durable because it gets picked up and moved every few days,” he said. “It also has to be lightweight. And it has to perform reliably, because you’re going to all these different theaters, yet you need to create the same look over and over again.” Steidinger said, his previous experience with ELATION made him confident that the Design Wash 1400E and Power Spot 700 CMY II would hold up and perform reliably and consistently on the Pan tour.
Steidinger also commended ELATION for the extensive support the company gave Peter Pan’s moving light technician Amy Carr prior to the tour. The lighting supplier hosted Carr for onsite training to teach her how to service the ELATION movers in the field. “Amy’s got a direct line she can pick up and call if she’s got a question. But she can do any necessary repairs on the road herself, because she’s gotten all that training. This makes her very confident,” said Steidinger. “It’s great to have industry partners like ELATION that will support the shows we are doing.”

Elation LED Video Panels Make Waves At Arizona’s Sound Wave EDM Festival

Elation LED Video Panels Make Waves At Arizona’s Sound Wave EDM Festival
TEMPE, AZ, USA – Launched in spring 2011, the twice-yearly Sound Wave festival is fast becoming one of Arizona’s most popular electronic dance music events – and with good reason. For starters, the main stage of this appropriately-named festival is located inside the world’s third largest wave pool at the Big Surf Waterpark in Tempe, AZ. Although the 2.5-million-gallon pool is drained for the off-season show, the park’s water slides remain open, allowing Sound Wave attendees to mix in some waves with their rave.
Another reason Sound Wave has been so quick to catch on is its amazing lineup of talent. Promoted by Insomniac Events and Steve LeVine Entertainment (SLE), the most recent October 2011 Sound Wave festival featured headliners Kaskade, Z Trip and Dirty South, plus some two dozen other acts performing on three stages continuously from 4 pm to 2 am.
Then there’s Sound Wave’s impressive visual effects, provided by Creative Backstage (Phoenix, AZ), which handled the festival’s video and stage design. Along with the big name DJs, one of the “stars” of the fall event was a 3D-like LED video screen setup on the main stage, created by John Garberson of Creative Backstage, using EVLED 1024SMD panels from ELATION PROFESSIONAL. Performers could display their own visual effects on the screen, or they could take advantage of ready-made content supplied by Creative Backstage.
“Anytime DJs didn’t have any content, we had media servers with hundreds of different loops and videos ready to go,” said Garberson.
The screen itself was constructed with 107 of the ELATION 20mm medium-resolution IP65-rated transparent panels. Although it was mapped out as one large screen, the 2.2” x 2.2” LED panels were actually configured in three different layers. “We knew it would be costly to do one solid screen all the way from 40’. So we broke it up into sections, knowing that mapping it all together, when you stand out in the crowd the eye’s going to pick it up like one image,” Garberson explained.
The first layer of the screen consisted of a 4’ x 14’ section in front of the DJ booth. Approximately twelve feet behind that was the second layer, comprised of two 6’x 6’ screens on either side of the front panels, set up from the ground level. Six feet behind that were the largest LED screens, which were divided into three sections: a 10’ x 14’ in the center, which utilized 35 EVLED panels and two 10’ x 8’ screens on the sides, consisting of 20 panels each.
Although this three-layer design was born somewhat of necessity, it ended up making quite a “splash” on the wave pool stage. “The three different levels created a unique look,” said Garberson. “When you walked toward on side of the stage, it gave a kind of three-dimensional look to the stage. Between each screen we flew truss with all the lighting and strobes, so the lighting looked like it was added right into the video.”
Sound Wave’s promoters were very impressed with the LED screen too. “I thought the screens looked amazing,” said Matt Brough, Talent Manager for Steve LeVine Entertainment. “They were the focal point on the stage, other than the DJ. And certainly during Z Trip’s set, the LED screens brought his stage show right to the audience. It felt like you were right next to him.”
Garberson, who began offering LED video screen services in January 2010, said that there are a number of features about the ELATION EVLED 1024SMD panel that make it a perfect fit for Creative Backstage and its clients. One is its very affordable price. “I had looked at LED screens years before, but they were way too expensive,” he recalled. “Then when my ELATION rep Kraig Knight (PLSP Inc.) stopped in and started talking about their EVLED product, the numbers made sense for a smaller company like me.”
“But it wasn’t just the cost,” added Garberson, “it was the whole product. Being a 20 mm screen, it was between high-res and low-res. You don’t have to be too far away to see it, but at the same time most of our shows are more than 30’ away, so it worked perfectly. At 20 lbs. apiece, the panels are easy to transport and set up. And being IP65 rated, they can be rained on.”
Garberson experienced the benefits of this latter feature at the first Sound Wave in April 2011, when a freak storm moved in during the entire set-up period and day of the festival. “We waited until the morning of the show to set up, because it rained the whole night before. But it didn’t clear up, so we were forced to set up in the rain. My clients were concerned about whether the video would work, and I assured them that it definitely would. We fired the system up, did some tweaking, and we were off and running. It stayed raining through the entire event, and the EVLED screen ran perfectly .”

Gemini Light, Sound & Video Marks 30th Anniversary With
2-Day Open House Showing Expanded Inventory/Warehouse
Recently, ELATION Professional dealer Gemini Light, Sound and Video in Dallas, Texas celebrated its 30th anniversary by welcoming its customers to the company's newly expanded 7000 m² warehouse and remodeled showroom, where some 250 guests were able to get up close and personal with ELATION's new, cutting edge Platinum Spot 5R and Platinum Beam 5R moving heads that use Philips' Platinum 5R lamps to produce 575-W-like brightness while consuming half the energy. Guests also got to see the new ELAR 108 RGBW and ELAR 216 RGBW IP65 LED color mixing fixtures, best used for architectural lighting.
With a “black box theater” demo area they achieved an actual production space within their working warehouse, allowing customers to see some of the company’s newer lighting and video products in action as they would appear on a live production stage.
Gemini has also entered the LED video area in a big way with ELATION’s EPV762 and EPV762 MH high-resolution LED video panels. The latter model is a moving head video screen that can rotate just like a moving yoke light fixture, panning a full 540° and tilting up to 265°.
“Gepmini exemlifies the model of a successful lighting/video/production company in today’s marketplace,” said Eric Loader, director of sales for ELATION Professional. “We want to congratulate Gemini on their very successful open house and anniversary,”Loader commented. “Their new expanded facility and showroom are first class, and we are very proud to have Gemini representing our products to the professional lighting and video markets.”
ELATION on the Summit! - Cannes, France
Published on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 11:51 AM
Cannes, France – When the most important leaders of the world meet to discuss the most urgent issues of financial markets and world economy, they want to do that in the most optimum way. The last G-20 Summit took place in Cannes, France, 3rd and 4th of November 2011. It was ELATION´s part at least to assure clear visibility on the meeting table by providing high performance lighting equipment. In order to achieve best lighting conditions, 160 units of ELATION´s Opti Tri White LED PAR were installed. This fixture comes with groundbreaking Tri White™ technology and creates white light in cool, warm and amber shades.
Regardless of the shade of white, the light is extremely bright and flicker free making it ideal for major meeting surroundings as well as broadcast television, video production and general lighting. The 18 x 9 W 3-in-1 Tri SMD LEDs contained in the unit have a rated lamp life of 50,000 hours, and being LEDs they draw very little power and emit very little heat and thanks to its compact size, the Opti Tri White fits into standard 30 cm truss. So, meeting members can keep a cool head and will not be distracted.
The Opti Tri White heavy duty die cast case is ideal for permanent or portable production applications and with CE and cETLus approved this unit performs to the highest standards.
“The Opti Tri White is one of the most versatile high performance PARs you’ll find in terms of the whites it produces and the number of different applications it’s suited for,” said Eric Loader, Director of Sales for ELATION Professional.
The installation of ELATION´s Opti Tri White was conducted by French distributor ESL (www.esl-france.com )

Super Super Bowl Weekend For Elation
Published on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 4:16 PM
Over 135 Elation Platinum Beam 5R ACL beam effects were lighting the night sky over the city’s downtown.
Dodd Technologies of Pendleton, IN used the Platinum Beams and Elation ELAR 108 PARs to create a dazzling lighting design that transformed Georgia Street into a magical Super Bowl Village experience for the hundreds of thousands of visitors that descended on the city for the big game.
All in all, over 600 Elation Fixtures were used in Super Bowl and Super Bowl related events over the weekend. In addition to the Platinum Beam 5Rs and ELARs, these included the ELED Tri 56, the Design Wash LED 60, the Platinum Wash LED Zoom, the TVL3000, the Flex Tape and the EPV 762MH moving head video panel.
“This was a very exciting weekend,” said Eric Loader, Director of Sales for Elation Professional who was in Indianapolis during Super Bowl weekend. “To be a part of this event is really an honor for Elation, and I think it speaks volumes about the quality of our products.”
Motor City’s Elektricity Amps Up With ELATION
Published on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 6:17 PM
Daiza planned to make lighting and production the centerpiece of Elektricity’s design, giving it the appearance of a festival stage. To create just the right environment to showcase acts like BT and Paul Oakenfold, the club owner called on Michael Meacham of idesign (Miami Beach, FL).
“Basically, what he wanted was a little mini Electric Daisy Carnival-type stage,” said Meacham. “I did some renders, and (Daiza) said, ‘Let’s do it!’ We based the whole design around the production. It’s more of a black box theater with a lot of production in it.”
Club personnel had already been to an LDI show, where they had purchased some LED video screens, but the overall design and selection of lighting fixtures was Meacham’s call. As Elektricity’s dramatic signature light, Meacham chose the new Platinum Beam 5R moving head from ELATION Professional.
An extreme ACL beam-producing light, the Platinum Beam 5R has the tight narrow beam and ultra-brightness of a classic aircraft landing effect. Yet, despite its hugely brilliant, high-impact “searchlight”-type beam, it runs on only 189 watts. That’s because it’s powered by the advanced MSD Platinum 5R lamp from Philips, an innovation that, in addition to providing much greater energy efficiency, allows manufacturers to make fixtures that are more compact and lightweight. Much smaller than a typical beam moving head, the Platinum Beam 5R weighs just 15.5 kg, and measures 358 x 335 x 470 mm. It’s loaded with professional features and effects, such as 12 dichroic colors, 8 rotating/indexing replaceable gobos, and a Frost Filter that allows it to function as a hybrid wash effect.
“The Platinum Beam 5R is so powerful, it just cuts through everything,” said Meacham. “It’s great because you can do all these big beam looks with it. But even though it’s such a narrow beam light, it’s got so many features that it can be used in multiple ways, such as split beams, gobos and even frost, which allows it to act as a wash.”
Elektricity purchased sixteen Platinum Beam 5R units in total. Fourteen of units were installed on and around the club’s stage, while two are kept as spares. Eight Platinum Beam 5Rs were hung on the downstage truss, and another two were positioned on the DJ riser. The remaining four were placed on deck, with two each at downstage left and downstage right. “The idea was to give it a layered look,” explained Meacham. “You’re getting this very layered, immersive, light-coming-from-everywhere effect, especially because the beams are so fast, so powerful and so snappy.”
Complementing the Platinum Beams is another ELATION light, the Opti Tri Par, an RGB LED par can equipped with 18 x 3–watt Tri-Color (red, green, blue) LEDs. Meacham installed a total of eight Opti Tri Pars at Elektricity, hanging two of them on the same truss as the Platinum Beams to act as DJ key lights. Another four Opt Tri Pars are mounted on ladders below and “create this really cool chasing effect that outlines the DJ.” Two additional Opti Tri Pars function as straight stage washes.
Also used at the club was a smaller version of the LED par can, the Opti Tri 30, which has 7 x 3 W Tri-Color RGB LEDs. Twelve Opti Tri 30s were hung underneath the club’s mezzanine, where they project down on the dance floor and “do all these chases and cool stuff,” said Meacham.
Early in the design process, Daiza indicated that he wanted to be able to change the club’s look every four months so that it would remain interesting to his clientele, “without having to spend a lot of money,” said Meacham. The Platinum Beam 5R has proven to be a great fixture to help facilitate this goal, the designer reported. “Because the Platinum Beams are so powerful, all we have to do is re-position them around and do some cool new groupings with them. This can give the whole stage a new 180-degree-turnaround different look. Plus, with their versatility we can constantly come up with new and creative ways to use them.
Another thing I love about the Platinum Beam 5R,” added Meacham, “is that it’s not an expensive light, yet it’s so powerful. When you look at what it costs and how bright it is and all it does, you just have to respect that.”

Brit Floyd - US Tour
Published on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 9:11 AM
Sweet 16!
Platinum Beams Inspire Awe On
Brit Floyd Tour
Nothing can match the over-the-top sensory experience of a Pink Floyd show . . . except for a Brit Floyd show. This UK-based tribute group formed by Chas Cole has quickly earned raves among Floyd devotees worldwide, not only for their uncannily on-target replication of the original band’s sound and musicality, but for their re-creation of the total aural and visual mind-blowing psychedelic trip that was the quintessence of a Pink Floyd concert in the ’70s.
Brit Floyd’s current North American tour is no exception. “Freakin awesome,” is how one reviewer described the show’s lavish production and visual artistry. “Lasers, smoke machines. . . massive spotlights -- everything you would expect from a Floyd show was there. . .” The show’s production was done by technology consultants FIX8Group (Stockport, Cheshire, UK) and includes a spectacular light show designed by FIX8’s Neil Trenell.
At the centerpiece of this visual display (the “massive spotlights”) are 38 Platinum Beam 5R moving head beam fixtures from Elation Professional. The Platinum Beam 5R is an exceptionally bright, extreme ACL effect with a tight beam angle of 2.5°. Not only does it produce a dazzlingly brilliant concentrated searchlight-type beam, it also offers the versatility to create a variety of different effects, featuring 12 dichroic colors, 8 rotating replaceable gobos, 3-facet rotating prism (with 8-facet option), and a Frost Filter that allows it to do double duty as a wash effect.
The Platinum Beams occupy a central position in the defining structures on the Brit Floyd set: a 16.5-foot vertical circle of truss, flanked by a gigantic 84-foot truss arch. Sixteen Platinum Beam 5R units are mounted on the truss circle, while an additional 22 units hang from the arch. With this positioning, the Platinum Beams can shoot white or colored beams in all directions, project gobo images, multiply their effects with the prism, or even wash the stage with the application of Frost. A dozen units of another Elation fixture, the Design Spot 1200C compact moving head, are mounted on the stage itself.
Original specifications called for a different lighting fixture to be used on the truss circle and arch, but the Platinum Beam 5Rs were substituted at the suggestion of Performance Lighting, Inc. (Elk Grove, IL), which supplied the lighting for the Brit Floyd North American tour. Along with its punchy output and features, the Platinum Beam 5R, which utilizes new Philips MSD Platinum 5R lamp, is ultra compact and energy efficient, running on only 189 watts yet emitting an output rivaling that of a much larger, higher-wattage fixture.
“We had just purchased 24 (Platinum Beams) and I was completely impressed with the fixture,” said Performance Lighting president Russell Armentrout, especially their “bang for the buck.” “Neil (Trenell) went online and did some independent research, and decided to give ’em a shot.
“The Platinum Beam was an instant success – pinpoint accuracy, extremely bright, extremely quick – and it has also proven very roadworthy,” reported Armentrout. “This light has been put through rigorously paced programming on a very intense tour schedule, and not one catastrophic problem occurred.”
What’s more, from a design perspective the Platinum Beam’s features were a good fit for the Brit Floyd show, said Trenell, who designed and programmed the tour’s lighting. “First impression from me is that they are a great little unit,” Trenell said. “We use the Frost a lot during the show to make the 5R into a tight wash. This works really well to make the difference between the big impact moments and the quiet moments.
“We also found the prism,” Trenell added, “and it blows me away. When you have 38 beams in the audience with rotating prism, the crowd always gives a little ‘wow’ too. My overall opinion of these lights is very good – they are quick and accurate and punch well above their value. The show has never looked so good! I even think we will stick to these when we are back in the UK and Europe.”
Plans are already being drawn for the Brit Floyd tour to purchase more Platinum Beam 5Rs from Elation’s UK office. In addition to the merits of the light itself, the manufacturer’s strong support has been a big plus in the demanding touring environment, said Douglas Peterson, CEO/founder of Performance Lighting. “My 27 years in this wonderful industry have taught me how important a high level of service and support from a manufacturer is,” commented Peterson. “We all know that there are last minute changes, things need to be adjusted, issues arise . . and time is always of the essence. For this tour I needed to get a bunch more brand new lights in less than seven days. Elation’s Rob Ludwig, Eric Loader and Gines Gines all came through, as they always do! They are like a tight Navy Seal team-rapid reliable response, and I absolutely love working with them.”

Makes All The Right Moves
With Elation Moving Head Video Panels
LOS ANGELES – (For Immediate Release) – Like the Canadian rapper himself, the stage production for Drake’s Club Paradise Tour is bold, strong and masculine with a commanding presence. The focal point of the set is an industrial-looking backdrop, made up of 40 6’x6’2’ alloy frames, each harboring a number of integrated lighting and video elements, which serves as a fitting marquee for the actor-turned-singer, who burst out as Billboard’s “Top New Hip Hop/R&B Artist” in 2009.
It took an artful balancing act to turn this cutting-edge trove of technology into a stunning visual concept that, at the same time, wouldn’t overpower Drake and the hip-hop power players who perform with him on the club-themed tour, now entering its second U.S. leg. Among the individuals credited with walking this fine line are the tour’s creative director Willo Perron and lighting designer Patrick Dierson.
From both a design and functional perspective, the self-contained alloy frames – called “Paracubes” by the creative/production staff -- were key, said Dierson. Each cube is pre-rigged with its lighting and video contents, so that the units can be set up almost “modularly,” saving considerable loading time. Aesthetic-wise, the diverse elements in each Paracube allow for the creation of some very different and unique looks. A real standout on this count has been Elation Professional’s EPV762 MH Moving Head LED Video Panel, which is mounted at a 90° angle, yoked out and spaced congruently with other video products within each cube.
A 7.62mm-pixel-pitch 19.2” square panel containing 3-in-1 RGB SMD LEDs, the EPV762 MH is capable of panning a full 540° and tilting 265° like a moving head light fixture. The innovative Elation panel was “an integral part of our design and we really wanted to see what they could do,” said Dierson, who used 48 EPV762 MH units on the first leg of the tour. In addition to serving as moving video displays, the idea was that the articulating panels could be used without video as moving surfaces to reflect other light sources.
The effect created when the EPV762 MH panels start moving during the show has more than lived up to expectations, reports Dierson, producing a massive visual display “akin to the look of a huge cathedral pipe organ.” “The audience really does a double-take the first time the video panels start moving,” Dierson said. “The effect is done as a very bold statement, where the video image fades to a solid color video wall as the panels start to undulate. As the more ‘realistic’ video footage starts to come back into play, the audience is only putting various pieces of it together as the panels line up in various, random places within the design. Eventually the movement settles to reveal an image that’s seemingly back to normal. . for the moment. Aside from that, using the panels as surfaces for other lighting instruments to play off of allows us to produce some really fantastic effects, both with video playing on the panels and without.”
Although he has gotten a lot of favorable feedback from industry peers who have seen the show, “nothing trumps an audience reaction,” Dierson adds. “To stand at FOH and just watch people’s faces the first time the panels start moving is proof of the entertainment concept and completely justifies the product being there. Those are the moments that you strive for as a designer.”
On top of that, the EPV762 MH panels have proven reliable workhorses on a tour that after finishing its first U.S. leg in March, headed off to Europe, and is now back for another series of coast-to-coast performances. The panels have “performed remarkably well considering what we’ve put them through,” said Dierson. “Let’s face it. It’s a moving video panel being bounced all over the planet and then put through its paces rigorously. There are bound to be similar technical issues that you would expect from either one of its moving light or video panel brethren. The units are pre-rigged into our scenic Paracubes and very well protected and supported. That being said, they’ve also been shipped like that all around the world, so they go through a lot on a daily basis and still keep performing very well.”
Proof being in the pudding, Dierson says that from the 48 EPV76 MH units originally specified for the Club Paradise Tour, “each subsequent leg has seen the number grow, as we’ve fallen in love with the unit. Our latest leg of the tour, which sees Drake back in the U.S. in May, takes the EPVMH count up to 96.”

Big Deals on PLASA 2011 - ELATION Pushes Forward
At this year’s PLASA, ELATION PROFESSIONAL presented outstanding and cutting edge technology.
The annual PLASA show in Earls Court, London, resulted in tremendous success for ELATION PROFESSIONAL. Again, ELATION was one step ahead of the lighting industry. Three years ago ELATION presented the Platinum Powered Moving Head series and introduced a unique lighting instrument, the EPV762 MH Moving LED Screen last year. This year ELATION premiered the EVC MH Camera moving Head which is fully controlled by DMX!
This very light and seriously small moving video camera can easily be mounted anywhere on stage or in the club. It can be fully integrated into the light show cues as well as easily driven by affordable DMX lighting consoles instead of expensive video hardware. The EVC MH also features 48 DMX-controllable LEDs in cold-white and warm-white, to help expose the triggered objects in dark environments. Zoom and Focus can be fully controlled by the operator, as well as movement and all the other features included.
TV studios and theaters, in order to have the amount of white light suitable for the camera, used Fresnel-spots in the past. Today, LED-based light sources save power, have less weight and produce less heat as well as no humming noise caused when dimming. Because ELATION offers such a variety of LED based spots for usage in TV, theatre and museums, it was honored by many compliments from users already.
Now ELATION adds another product to the family: the TVL-3000! A cold or warm white studio light, with no fan, consisting of an array of 24 x 3W high powered 3,200 k or 5,000 k white LEDs. Also included are interchangeable lens sets of 10, 25 and 40 degrees.
Furthermore, showing the high-resolution EPV and EVLED Video Screen series and a wide range of LED based RGB+Amber or RGB+White LED fixtures along with a professional range of architectural and outdoor lighting, ELATION has received the greatest compliments from their users so far.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands – “The Truth of White” – this is not the title of a new movie production. But it paraphrases the impressive response ELATION received especially on the new LED fixtures that produce “true white light”.
“As announced previously ELATION has again proven its innovation prowess. Because of this we are able to offer a wide range of products, very diverse in use and high end demands”, said Simon Gasch, Sales Manager for ELATION Professional Europe. “It is very important to mention the products that offer the highest quality of white light. The kind of white light, as for two examples, that are much needed in stage and studio productions. The way they function and the efficiency with such, highlights the fact that ELATION products are very proficient in nearly every way no matter the demands and are able to produce the ultimate white. Variable color temperatures from 2400° K to 6500° K or extreme light power from 100 W LED is but a few of the outstanding properties.“
Beyond all that, ELATION has presented a new generation of LED video screens with a high definition 6 mm pitch, extreme high contrast niveau and an outstanding brilliance.
„Already introduced to the public for a while ELATION´s complete Platinum range keeps on being in the focus of the working professionals. Knowing that ELATION offers the best performing implementation of Philips Platinum® lamp technology for their moving lights“, adds Gasch.
